 Pearly Shells Polynesian Revue is A performing group.
Peary Shells Polynesian Revue also teach Hula, Tahitian, and various island styles of dance.
Performances of Pearly Shells includes:
- Modern and ancient hula
Modern Hulas are happy and fun and are often descriptions of what is found on the Islands.
For instance a lovely flower, its scent, how it opens and made into a lei. In contrast,
Anceitn Hula is solemn and serious and is a chant of respect to one of the gods or goddesses
of their mythology or one of thier monarchs.
- Maori/ New Zealand

The Maori of New Zealand tradition are noted for their dances welcoming stangers into their village,
history of settling of the Polynesian Islands followed by the traditional Poi Ball dance. Today using balls
of paper instead of rocks. The Poi balls are twirled in geometric patterns.
- Samoan Implement Dances
Pu'ili (Bamboo Sticks)

Samoan Implement dancers use the Puilli sticks, hallow bamboo sticks tapped together in rhythem while also
dancing with intricate feet movement.
uli uli (feathered gourds)

The Ulli Ulli's are feathered gourds. The gourds are dried and hollowed out, the seeds remain to makea sound
when the gourds are shaken. A drum top is applied to the openiong and colorful feathers attached.
- Tahitian Otea and Bora Bora
Iee Iee (Tree Bark Palms)

Tahition dancing is isolated hip movements. The dancers use Poms called Iie Iie's made from shredded and dyed
tree bark. The same material used for the skirt.
Otea and Bora Bora

Otea is the beginning or opening number. The Bora Bora is the ending using the Poms, tree bark skirt, and lots of isolated hip shaking.
